Biographical Info
Baton Rouge General is dedicated to developing and training individuals called to minister to the sick through two Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) programs. These graduate-level programs deliver theological and professional ministry education in a clinical setting that combines action and reflection. Students gain first-hand pastoral care experience by providing spiritual support to patients, families, and hospital staff, and through guided reflection with certified CPE supervisors and peers. This learning expands skills and knowledge while deepening self-awareness of how personal histories, faith perspectives, and individual gifts influence pastoral and professional function.
